In the UK if you google holidays for singles you will come up with several companies who run holidays especially for single people. I have been on holiday with 'Just You' 'Solos' and 'Saga Singles' and have been quite safe on all of them. The majority of my travelling companions were female. I have also been on organised tours open to anyone where there are usually one or two other singles and everyone has been friendly.
