A male dominated society was making it hard for her to get a well paid position because of her being a woman. She had applied and even interviewed for several positions in the 150,000 dollar range as an computer graphics engineer (graduated at the top of her class where she and 1 other girl was in a class full of men). It was disheartening for her and so she stayed on the stage for a few more years. She had spoken with a woman that was running an executive men's club one night that actually helped her land her dream job a few months ago.
