Yes you should still get him a gift because I think even though they're not having a party the Birthday boy gave you a present last time it was your sons birthday so you should repay the favor. It's not the kids fault that the birthday party was canceled, hes probably really mad/sad about that and maybe getting him a present will make it better. Maybe the parents don't have enough money.
