I go away for 10 days or so every year, and I have been keeping fish for seven years. Nothing bad has ever happened as a result of them not being fed while I was gone.The worst thing that ever happened to any of my fish as a result of not being fed for 10 days, is that one of my bettas forgot how feedings happen and had to learn again to come to the top when my hand was over the tank.Weekend feeders don't work very well. Do you have a neighbor you could leave the bowl with, or a responsible neighbor child who could feed the fish? Just make sure that WHOEVER feeds them, that you leave VERY SPECIFIC directions on the amount.
